Farnell element14 Expanded its Agreements with Micrel and Panasonic Semiconductor

FARNELLFarnell element14, has formalised its relationship with Micrel by signing an agreement to become an authorized reseller.

Micrel is a manufacturer of IC. The product range includes high performance analog, power, advanced mixed-signal and radio frequency semiconductors; high speed communication, clock management, and LAN solutions including Ethernet switch and physical layer transceiver integrated circuits.

Mike Buffham, Director of Supplier and Product Management at Farnell element14, said: “We have been working with Micrel for 15 years, however, this formal agreement cements our relationship and allows us to accelerate our product offer, further strengthening our position as the leading high service distributor.  Delivering an extensively stocked Micrel range enhances our semiconductor linecard to support the needs of design engineers.”

Pete Horwat, EMEA Distribution Sales Manager at Micrel, said, “Over the past two years, we have engaged heavily with Farnell element14 and see them as a key enabler in driving Micrel’s NPI programs. During this time, we have expanded our product range to more than 700 lines.”

Farnell element14 also has announced that it has become an authorised distributor of Panasonic Semiconductor products. Buffham: “We have been working with Panasonic for 14 years and are delighted to be extending this working relationship.  By initially stocking a range of Panasonic’s Discretes, LEDs and ASSP we are making it easier for customers to do business with us.”

Panasonic offers a broad range of Semiconductor products including Microcomputers, Image Pickup Devices, Application-Specific Standard Product IC’s, Sensors, Transistors, Multi Chip Discrete Devices, Diodes, Opto Electronic Devices and Gallium Arsenide Devices.
