u-blox MAYA-W2 radio modules support Matter

15 May, 2023

MAYA-W2 modules provide SISO Wi-Fi 6 operation with up to 600 Mbit/s data throughput, improved performance in dense Wi‑Fi environments, and MU-MIMO

The MAYA-W2 tri-radio module of u-blox is now support the royalty-free communication protocol Matter as well as Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth low energy (LE) 5.2, and IEEE 802.15.4 (Thread and Zigbee). This 10.4 x 14.3 mm SMD module was designed for a wide range of industrial applications, such as smart manufacturing, tracking and telematics, building automation, professional appliances, healthcare, and EV charging infrastructures. Its efficient Wi-Fi 6 makes the MAYA-W2 ideal for Matter-compliant solutions, in particular higher-end ones requiring more throughput and processing power, such as border routers, smart TVs, and personal assistants.

MAYA-W2 modules provide SISO Wi-Fi 6 operation with up to 600 Mbit/s data throughput, improved performance in dense Wi‑Fi environments, and MU-MIMO. Using 20, 40 or 80 MHz channels, the modules can work as access point, station, in P2P connections, or any combinations of these. The series is based on the NXP IW61x chips, which provide OS driver integration in thetheir application host BSPs and SDK support for NXP MCUs.
