Fire broke out at Eltek PCB Plant

Eltek Ltd. reported that a fire had broke out this week in one of the production rooms in the Company’s PCB plant in Petach-Tikva, Israel. The fire, which damaged part of the production line located in that room, was extinguished without any casualties. The company restarted its manufacturing in all other production lines; however the manufacturing processes performed in the room that was damaged are required for completing the manufacturing process.

At this stage a full assessment of the full recovery time and the impact on the company’s operations has not been completed. “The Company is making efforts to minimize delays of its products deliveries. Based on a preliminary review, all damages are covered under the Company’s insurance policies.”

Eltek was founded in 1970. It provides manufacturing services of advanced custom made PCB solutions for use in sophisticated and compact electronic products, including complex rigid, double-sided and multi-layer PCBs as well as flexible circuitry (flex and flex-rigid boards) made of several types of high-performance base material. It also develops manufacturing solutions pursuant to complex interconnect requirements of OEMs.

The Company’s headquarters, R&D, production and marketing center are located in Israel. Eltek also operates through its subsidiary in North America and by agents and distributors in EuropeIndiaSouth Africa and South America. During the last three years Eltek invested approximately $3.5 in new equipment and the expansion of our facilities and infrastructure. It plans  to invest approximately $2.4 million in 2022, mainly for manufacturing equipment.
